Chair Porn: Carl Auböck

You remember that time your girlfriend caught you looking over her shoulder while out to dinner. For some, it's a television. For others, it's another woman. For me, it's a Carl Auböck chair. They hide nonchalantly amidst the camoflage of Ikea'd living spaces and dining rooms, and every once in a while you'll catch a glimpse and know immediately. You want to study it up and down, running your fingers across the leather, steel and wood to feel the craftsmanship at your fingertips, dreaming about what one would look like in your own home or workspace. You can almost hear Auböck and Eames drunk on design, discussing materials and arguing about why the Germans insist on spelling "architect" with a "K". Clean, simple, elegant, sophisticated. No frills. No cartoon instruction manuals. Just a four-legged sex kitten begging for your finely tuned attention.
