Admittedly, my Spring resolution was to give up Rising-Sun Americana cold turkey. And then, of course, I come across Master Piece, who brings back shockwaves of junior high JanSports and Eastpak shoegaze, all wrapped in a banzai-scented Pendleton blanket (don't ask). Hand-crafted just outside Osaka, Master Piece - or "MSPC" in some circles - is a rugged collection of unique rucksacks, slings, backpacks and waistpacks (yes, they're back) that balance modern and heritage with that effortless Japanese cool (yes, that is a mini-pack attached to a carabiner). Throw in some classic wallets and what might be the coolest camping chair this side of Deliverance, and you've got yourself one hell of a collection. Bad habits just keep dying harder...
