While in Portland over the weekend, I stumbled across Taschen's recently released "Stanley Kubrick's Napoleon: the Greatest Movie Never Made," and I must truly admit that it's a fascinating (and oddly celebratory) work of coffee-table wizardry about Kubrick's sweeing epic that never was. The massive volume contains thousands of photographs, notes, letters, treatments, essays and a facsimile of Kubrick's final screenplay. Coffee-tables everywhere just got a little happier.
