East Meets West: PEdALED

A friend recently told me that after 70 miles of cycling you'll most certainly need a chamois for your backside. Myself, on the other hand, I don't mind doing a 50-mile beer run in a pair of Japanese denim cut-offs (I've done it). And luckily, for all us shogun riders, PEdALED presents a collection of cycling-focused apparel that ditches high-tech spandex for chambrays, plaids, suspenders, workpants and hickory vests. Functionally sound and formally impeccable. (Cue the carbon guy in bibs shamefully shaking his fingerless glove at me). Argue all you want, but something tells  me 70 miles will most certainly break in Japanese denim perfectly. I'm just saying. And maybe - just maybe - you guys want to send over a pair for me to try out. Japan, you're cooler than us. There, I said it.

Crowded: Misha Gordon

While I could use this time to pedanticize on the work of Misha Gordon, proselytizing on the medium of photography and the inward-outward existentialism of the modern image, I'll instead just walk away and let the work do all the talking. Dark, hypnotic, surreal (add your favorite adjective here)....and just plain cool.

Monday Musique: The Ramones

It's about time we start the week off right. Here's to the shredded discotheque, New York City having it all and Max's Kansas City forever.
